Tickets valued at $16.2 million can be used to fly to any destination in the airline’s network and are valid until the end of 2021

The tickets which can be used to fly to any destination served by the airline will go to frontline workers nominated and approved by the ministry of health. 

Jazeera Airways is offering 50,000 free round-trip tickets valued at KD5 million ($16.2 million) to frontline workers fighting the Covid-19 pandemic in Kuwait.

“The fifty thousand free tickets will be redeemable to any destination served by our airline’s network. The tickets will be distributed to frontline individuals as directed by our esteemed Government,” said chairman Marwan Boodai 

The chosen frontline workers will be able to book their flight once Kuwait International Airport reopens for commercial flights. They will be valid until the end of 2021. 

Jazeera Airways’ latest initiative comes as it built the second drive-through for virus testing at the Jaber Al-Ahmad national stadium. It had initially converted its Park & Fly facility to Kuwait’s first drive-through for virus tests.

It has also operated over 60 repatriation flights to help bring home over 6,800 Kuwaiti citizens. 

Moreover it built the Kuwait Passenger Reception Centre (KPRC), in coordination with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Ministry of Health at Kuwait International Airport to support the medical screening of all inbound passengers
