Historic first flight from Guangzhou had 21 tons of medical supplies
Gulf Air operated a historic first in-a-series of cargo flights to Guangzhou, China on May 27.
Gulf Air imported over 100 tons of medical supplies from India and China in May.
The Bahrain national carrier imported 82 tons of medical supplies from India with partner medical suppliers. Operating four cargo flights to different cities in India, the Gulf Air brought back medications, medical equipment and hygienic products to the kingdom.
In addition, Gulf Air operated a historic first in-a-series of cargo flights to Guangzhou, China on May 27, importing 21 tons of medical supplies, with the airline using all compartments of its passenger aircraft to maximise storage space.
Over the past few weeks, we operated over 15 cargo flights, including our first chartered service carrying medical supplies from China

Gulf Air said it is working alongside members of Team Bahrain to ensure sufficient availability of medical supplies during the Covid-19 pandemic. During April, Gulf Air also operated 6 flights to import 90 tons of medical supplies from India.
