To return to the UAE, valid visa holders must register with the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA)
UAE residents currently in India will be able to return to the country once Emirati authorities lift restrictions, according to India’s Union Minister for Civil Aviation and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in India Hardeep Singh Puri.
In a tweet, Puri said that “a number of people holding valid residence permits of UAE have been approaching us to go back to the country.”
“It is up to the local authorities there to take a call on this,” he added. “Currently there are restrictions on entry of foreign citizens in UAE and a few other countries.”
In mid-May, it was announced that foreign expatriates holding residence visas can return to the UAE beginning on June 1.
To do so, visa holders must register with the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) through smartservices.ica.gov.ae. Once an email is entered, a verification email is sent to the applicant.
