The AA has named the best hotels in the UK. The Red Star winners were named this week, with six new hotels being awarded five, four and three Red Stars.
Red Stars are the AA’s highest accolade for hotels in the British Isles.
Rewarding high quality throughout, Read Stars hotels are the best in the country.
Six new Red Stars hotels have been named this week.
Two hotels received the highest rating of five Red Stars, while three received four and one received three.

The new Five Red Stars hotels are Gilpin Hotel & Lake House in Windermere, Cumbria and Grantley Hall in Ripon, North Yorkshire.
Gilpin Hotel & Lake House in Windermere is set in 22 acres of gardens and woodlands in the Lake District.
The hotel and spa offers the best spa and dining facilities, and is a truly luxurious retreat.
On Tripadvisor, Rich said: “Not perfect but pretty close.”
Lockdowndoodler said: “One of the best hotels we’ve had the pleasure of staying in.”
Grantley Hall in Ripon has award-winning restaurants, a luxury gym, wellness centre and spa.
The Grade II-listed manor has a Michelin-starred restaurant and five bars.

Four Red Stars were awarded to Fischer’s Baslow Hall in Baslow, Derbyshire, The Blakeney Hotel in Blakeney, Norfolk, and The Queensberry Hotel in Bath, Somerset.
Fischer’s Baslow Hall in Baslow, Derbyshire is on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate.
The cuisine and gardens were particularly noted for being two highlights of a stay at Baslow Hall.
The Blakeney Hotel in Blakeney, Norfolk has views across the estuary and salt marshes to Blakeney Point.
A restaurant, bar, sun lounge, pool, steam room and gym are also on site.
The Queensberry Hotel in Bath, Somerset consists of four townhouses near the city centre of Bath.
The Olive Tree restaurant’s menus were noted for their quality.
THE PIG at Harlyn Bay in Padstow, Cornwall, was awarded three Red Stars.
With great views of the Cornish coastline, the 15th century house has been renovated without removing the uniqueness of the historic building.
