A luxury hotel in Edinburgh has hit out at a customer complaint after she claimed the staff were rude to her on her visit.
TripAdvisor is a great place for holidaymakers to leave reviews allowing those looking to book to see if a venue is worth the cost.
However one woman warned Brits away from The Bonham Hotel, which is near Dean Village, and said to “avoid” it “at all costs”.

In the negative review, she claimed that she’d stayed at the hotel “many times over the years”.
However, this time the holidaymaker says that she and her partner left before they even checked into the hotel, opting to stay elsewhere instead.
She wrote: “Terrible experience upon arrival with some member of staff at the front entrance – no name but not helpful or pleasant.
“We had an immediate complaint and [the member of staff] was rude and uncooperative about it, resulting in a verbal confrontation.”
They left the Bonham to go to another hotel in St Andrew’s Square, reports EdinburghLive.
She claims they were “treated with respect and decency” at the second venue.
But, the general manager of The Bonham Hotel wasn’t happy and decided to write back to the couple.
They said that the couple would no longer be welcome at the hotel for future visits.
The manager said: “As explained yesterday, we do not accept verbal abuse and swearing at our staff which is wholly unacceptable in any environment.
“I’m afraid this meant we were unable to accommodate you on this stay or any future visit.
“I am glad you were able to find alternative accommodation that better suited you for this trip and in the future.”

The Bonham hotel has a rating of 4.5 stars with thousands of reviews on TripAdvisor.
Many compliment the luxury hotel’s “quiet elegance” and location within walking distance of tourist sites and restaurants.
