The UK’s most beautiful city in autumn has ‘so much to see’

Bath took the crown as the UK’s most beautiful autumn city.

Looking for a gorgeous autumn staycation destination? A beautiful city in the West of England has been crowned the country’s most stunning in autumn.

According to research from the travel expert team at Premier Inn, Bath is the most eye-catching British city during the autumn season.

In fact, the beautiful city even topped the world rankings, beating out tough competition from Chicago and Cape Town to take the number one spot.

Home to some of the UK’s most impressive Roman sites, Georgian era properties and famous buns, there’s so much to see in Bath.

So what does the city look like in autumn?

Bath’s top-rated attraction on Tripadvisor, Bath Abbey’s location has been a place of worship for over 1,000 years.

A tourist wrote on Tripadvisor: “A beautiful and peaceful space to spend time.”

Another person said: “Visited more than once. So much to see and appreciate the history and architectural beauty.”

Take a step back in history and see how Bath’s Roman residents relaxed back in the day. While some tourists have been left disappointed they can’t take a dip in the water, interactive exhibits help to bring the experience to life.

The Baths even has a collection of curse tablets. Irate Romans wrote injustices they’d suffered on the tablet and asked for revenge before throwing them into the Minerva’s Spring.

While tourists can’t swim in the water at the Roman Baths, they can enjoy a spa experience at Bath’s gorgeous Thermae Bath Spa.

An adult-only spa, the spa’s gorgeous rooftop pool is filled with warm-mineral rich waters.
